Imagine being able to fuse Pokémon from across your Pokédex to create unique new monsters! This fascination gave me the idea of Fusiomon. An online trading card game in which you can fuse any monster you see - and even fuse the resulting fusions again, which leads to endless possibilities.
There are a few games that follow a similar approach. In most cases, however, the resulting monsters are based on predefined rules and combinations. If you do some research, it says: “Games with truly generated, unique monsters would be technically very challenging and complex to develop.” That sounded like my next big challenge!
A first prototype is intended to estimate the feasibility of the project by implementing the basic framework (especially UGS) and some core mechanics such as Pack Opening and the Combat System.
A great project is nothing without a great community. In addition to a website and social media, various marketing channels are now needed to tell people about Fusiomon.
In parallel with marketing, Fusiomon is being further developed. The agenda includes in particular:
The last step is the release of the final version and the transition to the update cycle. With the finished implementation, an innovative game concept has been created with a lot of potential for expansion.
